What is DLANG Basketball?

DLANG Basketball is a Swiss-based youth basketball club focused on serious development, elite competition, and strong values on and off the court. We work with young athletes from their first steps in the game through international-level play, offering training, team pathways, and tournament exposure across Switzerland and Europe.

Our main facility is located at:

We also host sessions, tournaments, and camps in additional cities throughout the year.

What are your facility hours?

The training center is open daily from 09:00 to 21:00, including weekends and holidays. Training times vary by division and season schedule.

What age divisions do you offer?

DLANG works with athletes from ages 3 to 20, across clearly structured basketball divisions:

Mini Team (ages 3โ€“5)
Introductory basketball movement and coordination with a unique family training format where parents can participate on court.

Fundamentals Program (ages 6โ€“8 and 9โ€“11)
Players are introduced to structured basketball development through skill-building, guided games, and learning team basics.

Competitive Divisions: U12, U14, U16, U18, U20
Our official club teams train and compete across the full season. Players are placed by age, ability, and readiness. Programs include advanced training, league competition, and physical development.

What leagues do your teams compete in?

DLANG competitive teams (U12 to U20) participate in both national and international leagues, including:

  • EYBL (European Youth Basketball League)
  • AVB (Association Vaudoise de Basketball)
  • CJSC (Championnat Jeunesse Suisse de Basketball)

These competitions provide meaningful experience, exposure, and growth for our players throughout the season.

Do you accept beginners?

Yes. We accept committed players at all levels. Our Fundamentals Program is designed specifically for beginners, while competitive teams require tryouts or placement based on evaluation.

How are teams formed?

Players are placed based on skill level, work ethic, and readiness. Evaluations are conducted through tryouts or trial sessions. Coaches assess players to determine fit within each division.

Do you host tournaments and events?

Yes. DLANG hosts several major basketball events each year, including:

  • IBA Youth Basketball World Cup (U16โ€“U20 international)
  • DLANG 3ร—3 Tournament Series
  • Seasonal camps, showcases, and special training events

Some events are open to all players. Others are invitation-only or reserved for DLANG athletes.

Who are your coaches?

DLANG coaches include licensed youth trainers, former professional players, and international guest coaches. All staff share a focus on building athletes with technical quality, character, and a team-first mindset.

What languages do you train in?

We conduct most training sessions in English and French. Some staff members also speak
German. We adapt communication to fit the needs of each team and region.
